Napa Valley is full of delights every season of the year. The region is blessed with great weather, fertile soil and interesting people. Winter brings golden mustard to the valley and the entire area is a beauty to behold! In Spring, the grapevines start to bud. In Summer, they are full of leaves and tiny grapes. By Autumn, we start harvesting the grapes to make wine. There are many other attractions of the region, too, including olive oil production, organic farming, cheese making and outstanding restaurants. Join us for either a weekend or a long-weekend as we explore the region's many seasonal offerings! We are now offering several specialized Getaways in Napa Valley, too, including a Mother’s Day Long-Weekend Getaway, a Southern Foods Weekend Getaway, and a Thanksgiving Foods Getaway.
Join us on Friday evening for an exquisite multiple-course welcome dinner where you will meet the other participants in the Weekend Getaway.
On Saturday, we will begin our day with a visit to a local farmers market to gather ingredients for our hands-on cooking class. We will then go to a local cheese specialty shop where we buy cheeses for our special tasting that evening. Afterward, we will proceed to a local winery, where we will start our cooking experience with a salt class and a tasting of salts from around the world. We will then prepare a multiple-course meal and dine in a spectacular setting. That evening, we will enjoy a light dinner and a tasting of California and international cheeses.
On Sunday, we will begin our day with a cooking lesson, followed by breakfast. We will then move into a class on how chocolate is made, followed by a tasting of chocolates from around the world. Our event will end around noon on Sunday.
